In 2005, the City of Lincoln and the Nevada Irrigation District (District) began a cooperative effort to identify potential locations to build a surface water treatment plant. This proposed plant will treat raw water for a portion of the City of Lincoln and surrounding areas, all of which lie within the existing District boundary. 

The public will be included in the development of this project so this website was created to provide continuously updated information and meeting announcements. It also explains how individuals or groups can submit comments and questions about the project via email, mail or in-person.

The first series of public meetings were held in February/March 2008.
